My Goal in AP Calculus!

This is my first year taking AP Calc.
It stands for calculus, can’t you tell?
I knew it would be a challenge from the start,
There are limits, derivatives, and graphs that you need to tell apart.
The class wasn't too difficult in the beginning
But then the first test came and my heart started panicking.
I got an A- on the test, not a bad start,
But I wanted to do better, for my mom thinks I’m smart.
The days passed, and the end of the marking period was drawing nearer.
We had more and more test as they got harder and harder.
I wanted at least one 100 before it was too late.
Then the last week came around along with the due date
For all of the final grades to be put in.
Oh my, I had wondered when my luck would begin.
As if to answer my thought, Mrs. Aivars set up another test,
And I promised to myself I would do my very best.
My only goal was a perfect paper,
And I would not accept anything lower.
I studied all day and night for this upcoming exam,
Trying to remember everything while I cram.
The test day came, and I felt nervous inside.
My nerves kept eating at me the whole time.
She handed out the test as my heart shook.
I glanced at the questions and took a quick look.
The period passed, and I finally finished.
Thankfully, my nerves diminished.
By the next week, she had already finished grading,
And oh how my fears were invading.
She handed mine back, and I was hesitant to look
For there was no changing this because it was already in the grade book.
I turned over the paper and then I see,
An A+ on the paper. Hooray! Finally!
