"Don't Come Near! You'll Catch a Cold!"

December can be a very cold time of the year,
it's when sickness drops by here and there.
I unfortunately caught the annoying cold
and all day on my bed I rolled.
Due to my condition, I was out of school for a week.
Isn't it hard to believe my cold made me that weak?
For days and days I would cough and cough.
Then my mother decided it was time to send this cough off.
The next day we went to the doctor to fix it up,
and she said I wasn't healing because my medicine wasn't strong enough.
The doctor checked my symptoms and condition
and prescribed me a stronger medication.
I took the new medicine for a week straight,
in hopes of healing at a faster rate.
I finally healed another week later
but then I had piles of schoolwork to make up for after! :(

  3. I'm glad you're feeling better! I hope you got all that school work done. Next time you think you're getting sick, drink a lot of orange juice! It helps.

  4. This poem reminds me of all the days I spent sick as well, but your illness sounds much worse than mine! I could only imagine how agonizing it could be for a sickness to drag on as long as yours did.
